Robert Johnston
Founder and Director
Institute of Collective Mechanics
Robert Johnston is an osteopath, educator, and clinical thinker with more than twenty-five years of experience teaching osteopathy and manual medicine.
Throughout his career he has focused on understanding how structural mechanics influence function within the human body.
Over time his clinical work revealed patterns of mechanical behavior that were not fully explained by conventional anatomical models.
Rather than accepting these limitations, he pursued a deeper exploration of how forces move through the body and how structural relationships shape clinical outcomes.
This process gradually led to the development of Collective Mechanics, a framework integrating anatomical knowledge, mechanical reasoning, and clinical observation.
Today his work focuses on teaching this framework to healthcare professionals seeking greater clarity in clinical practice.
